Dr. Muhammad Saleh is a board-certified periodontist, University of Michigan faculty member, internationally recognized researcher, and expert in advanced implant and periodontal therapy. His unique combination of academic leadership, scientific contributions, and clinical excellence allows patients throughout Eastern Washington access to the level of specialty care typically found at major university centers.
He earned his dental degree before pursuing extensive postgraduate training in periodontics, dental implants, and oral biology. Dr. Saleh currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he helps train future specialists while maintaining an active clinical and research career.
Throughout his career, Dr. Saleh has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications and is widely recognized for his contributions to periodontal regeneration, implant dentistry, and peri-implant disease research. He has received numerous national and international awards recognizing his work, and his research has been presented at major professional meetings around the world. His scholarly contributions continue to influence advancements in periodontal and implant therapy.
Dr. Saleh’s clinical interests include dental implants, bone grafting and guided bone regeneration, treatment of periodontal disease, soft tissue grafting, peri-implant disease management, and complex implant reconstruction. He is passionate about delivering evidence-based care while helping patients achieve long-term oral health, function, and esthetics.
